Not really sure where this should go, but the show Democracy Now is a very activism-oriented show, with host Amy Goodman, which discusses many important issues facing our country, our world and our democracy, which most mainstream media outlets refuse to cover.

Here's a clip from an interview with Ron Suskind, the author of the recent book The Way of The World which exposes the falsification of evidence about the Iraq War, specifically the faked Iraqi intelligence letter. Also in the interview is House Judiciary chairman John Conyers (who talks slowly), discussing how they're going to go forward with investigation into this, as well as "Reported examples of the Bush Administration considering other deceptive schemes to justify or provoke war with Iraq, such as the reported consideration of painting a U.S. aircraft with UN colors in order to provoke Iraq into military confrontation." (by them shooting it down)

This clip also discusses the role of the media and the role of average citizens like YOU and ME in caring enough about what's going on and being an active member of our democracy, remembering that our public servants work for us, not the other way around. Anyway, watch it.

Amy Goodman was recently arrested during her attempt to cover the republican national convention. Her crime? Crossing the line... literally - between the sidewalk and the street. Submedia TV (another alternative media source I keep up on) covered it:

Cool thanks for that. The only coverage I've seen regarding the protests was to point out that "windows have been broken and tires slashed" by the protesters....pfff...nice journalism, eh?
