I don't know how "cutting edge" this technology is or isn't, but I definitely wonder if this kind of thing can be made portable, or compact, or if we'll be seeing thigns like this in the future as some type of personal/property defense system.

This guy apparently made this himself, some sort of electro-magnetic shield which he mounted on top of some vehicles and created a complete bubble of intense electricity to defend the cars!
Wtf!?
