That picture sums it up retty well.
I love how an increase of 300,000 barrels a day is only a "modest" increase. Wow.
I bet you Bush knew he wouldn't agree, and that it was, as the article said "symbolic", so Bush looks like he's trying to do something as Americans sink under high gas prices.
What a charade.

yeah this is retarded. anybody who does a little research would quickly find that WE DONT NEED MORE OIL. our reserves, our supply are both more than plentiful.

however after hurricane katrina, the oil companies discovered how much they could push the american public to pay for gasoline, and after repairing refineries and production facilities they just never bothered bringing them back up to speed.

in a capitalist-whoremarket economy when you have a monopoly on something, demand = supply for the highest bidders. thank god every idiot in america bought into the suv craze and now demand is higher than it's ever been.

so yes, this is all a big ruse. also: we recently discovered oil deposits in montana i think (?) that rival or exceed what we have in texas or alaska. are we tapping into those? nope, big oil is going to continue to rape the american public for as long as we're willing to stand for it.

in the interim, i work ever harder on my 50-60mpg motorcycle.
